Coworking

What is a coworking space?

A coworking space is accessible to anyone who needs a desk or a place to work.

In a few words, a coworking space is a place that brings together desks available for rent, combined with a set of shared common areas (a kitchen, a lounge, meeting rooms, etc.) and a range of services designed to ensure everyone’s comfort: a lounge area with coffee and tea available, access to showers (very useful for sporty people!), weekly vegetable basket deliveries, etc. (Of course: this depends on the coworking space!)

🛎️ Offers adapted to everyone’s needs

Most of the time, coworking spaces offer several options that can adapt to everyone’s needs:

For a half-day or a full day: you rent a desk, often in an open space, for a half-day or a full day. In addition to the basic services included, some extra services can be added to your plan, such as renting a second screen or accessing the printer.

Tou get an assigned workstation in an open space. The rental is monthly this time, and allows you to bring your personal belongings. Often, you’ll also be given a locker to store your equipment and a badge giving you autonomous access to the space over a wider time range than nomad rentals (You’re freeee !).

You rent a private office on a monthly basis, isolated from the “rest of the world” 😄
This setup gives you — or your team — a dedicated area within the coworking space: some places offer offices from 2 to 8 seats (sometimes even more!), allowing you to work as a team while still staying open and connected to other members.

This option allows you to set your company’s registered address at the coworking space. This isn’t about renting a desk, but rather renting a mailbox. For some people, it creates a clear boundary between personal and professional life, while also giving more credibility with clients. 😉

Most coworking spaces offer meeting rooms for rent by the hour, half-day, full day, or even in the evening (useful for after-work events! 🍹). This service can include extra options such as catering or a reception service

Overall, coworking spaces tend to work in a similar way: a basic offer is provided in addition to renting your workspace. On top of that, you can choose extra options depending on your needs.

Some spaces also offer a monthly or yearly membership to a club that gives access to additional services included in the price: weekly yoga classes, professional events, and plenty of opportunities to create and maintain connections between members!
